Maii Kassab was born in 8th December 1981. Born in Tanta, a city which
is the capital of gharbeyya province. Maii born in an artistic family
somehow. Her father was a lawyer and at the same time was an author also
he was an active member in author's union in Cairo. Her father was a
good fan to most of famous music artists and he lived this music until
he discovered maii's talent. Her mother was a teacher and at the same
time was a very good music fan. Her elder sister was the same somehow,
even used to sing in school and she was a good singer too. Her elder
brother was the only different music fan in the family as he was a fan
to western music bands also he was a vocal in a small band in Tanta but
this ended so fast. Maii used to sing in her school when she was young. She also used to sing between her friends and they made such a beautiful group. Also Maii was a good talent in acting...she even made a play with her friends many times when she was young. Maii got her first chance when her father agreed to make her appear on the T.V in her city. Her father believed in her talent as much as he loved her. So, Maii started to appear on T.V in her city (Channel 6). Her part wasn't as a singer but she was a good chorale member and a little actress. When the time had come for Maii to join a college she decided secretly only with her father and brother to join the musical college in Zamalek. They helped her in secret because her mother was so afraid about her and she was afraid that she gets lost in the capital Cairo. But as Maii's parents raised her on religion and Islamic principles that made her so aware and careful how to live the new life in Cairo. From the first day she entered the college...she made a good sound between her teachers and her college partners. Even in her first singing test…they made her sing twice because they liked her warm voice as much as all of as do. Maii started to dig her way dreaming to be a music star and as every starting singer…she worked in places like Marriot hotel and Cairo Sheraton trying to train her voice more and more. She raised herself alone in Cairo for a few months before her father sends her brother to be with her all the time and take care of her. After one year in Cairo besides learning music basics in college. A college partner calls Usama who used to play keyboards with Magd El Qasem offers Maii to sing with Magd a duet. Maii went to meet Magd to test her voice for the song…she was sick when she went that day but Magd realized that she has a very beautiful voice and asked her to come again next day after she takes a rest. Maii went the next day and she sang like never before and Magd admired her voice and realized that she will be a real effective element in his song (GHAMAD ENEIK). And for real Maii made the duet with Magd and later it was the best duet has ever been made for at least 5 years in all Arabian countries. Even GHAMAD ENEIK was the song # 1 in Egypt which made Maii started to appear on the grand T.V and also on Satellite Channels. Because of the this song, Maii was known as a perfect romantic singer but she disappeared for 3 years at least after this song. The reason of Maii's disappearing was her producer who kept her in his company trying to hold her with him. Until now, Maii is still wondering why her producer kept her all this time without making her any albums. Even he was going to make her album and also started in her songs with 2 beautiful songs but suddenly he stopped. One of these 2 songs (Ashe'a) was composed and written by Mohammed Deya'a. This song still recorded by Maii's voice until now and maybe will be released in her next album. Maii was so afraid that people will forget her after 3 years of making the song GHAMAD ENEIK and she started for real to find another producer. Also Maii joined a college partner (Ibrahim) in another duet calls (Fedaky Ya Qods) which has been performed in Cairo International Festival for Song in 2000. This Duet was about Palestine and was so sensitive and Maii performed very well…Also her partner was a very beautiful voice. Later, Maii made another duet with (Warda Adaweyya) for Palestine and made a video clip for it too. It called (Min Ardena), They even won a prize which made for the best video clip in Sharm El Sheikh on 2003. In this while, Sameh El Agamy (Poet) offered Maii to sing a soundtrack in a movie calls (Ezzay el Banat Tehebbak). The song called (KHOD KOL SHEA). Maii agreed to sing the song because she felt that this song was made for her voice and will be effective in her future. And for real the song made a great sound in Egypt and all Arabian countries. Later, Maii made the video clip of this song and started to appear again on T.V. While Maii was busy in working and singing in hotels and thinking about her future. Suddenly when she was singing in a place, one of the people who was listening to her offered his help to make her first album. He was a good music fan and he was so sad when he found her a very good talent without support. So, he offered his support thinking to make a record label if Maii succeeded in her album. And for real, Maii made her first album by the help of this man who preferred to not be shown until the time comes. Maii spent a full year making her album and performing the songs in studio until she was nearly finished it. At the same time while Maii was finishing her album she got an offer to join an album will be released in gulf countries (Calls Garh El Ehsas). Maii decided to sing in Gulf accent by making a song in this album calls (Ahakaza Al Hob)also she added a folklore song calls (Ah Yana Yana) to this album. This album is already released on 7th april 2005 in gulf countries. Only one step left to Maii's album (The Video Clip). Maii was afraid to make something which can't effect on her fans especially that maii was going to release her album in the time of (PORNO VIDEO CLIP WAVE). Maii was so afraid of the fans and they might don't care about a talent in this while. So, Maii decided to make something different and new in her genre by the help of the video clip director (Yaser Samy). Later, She found herself making the video clip for the last chosen song of this album (Sheel Da Min Da ) which was written by Ayman Bahgat Amar and composed by Mohammed Yehia. Sheel Da Min Da was a mixed tragedy with comedy song. Which depended on the tragedy besides the comedic scenario. The video clip made a great sound on all satellite channels when Maii appeared in it as a very cruel wife but also was suffering with her husband who was not honest with her and always look to other women which hurts her and made her beat up him all the time and goes to her family's house crying like she was the one who has been beaten up. In the end of the clip her husband tries to be a good man and she gets pregnant and life goes on. But suddenly she discovers again that he's still the same and beat him up again too (real story with some comedic shots). After a while Maii decided to make another video clip but with a return to her beautiful style in GHAMAD ENEIK and KHOD KOL SHEA but with a real tragedy this time. Her new art director (Kamba) offered her to mix 2 songs of her album as one song in this video clip. The Idea was about the songs (Haga Teksef And Neseetak). Haga Teksef was the song of the album and Neseetak was only 1 minute song. The video clip is about a woman whose shame of telling people about her love and in the end she decides to forget her love and go on in her life as nothing happened. This video clip is an idea of Kamba who offered to make It in desert…between the sands and the sky. Soon, Maii will start in her second album hoping to see her first album succeeded. 1981. ولد في Tanta , a مدينة التي عاصمةُ محافظةِ gharbeyya. Maii ولد في
عائلةِ فنيةِ بطريقةٍ ما. أبوها كَانَ a محامي وفي نفس الوقت كَانَ مُؤلفاً
أيضاً هو كَانَ عضو عاملَ في إتحادِ المُؤلفِ في القاهرة. أبوها كَانَ a
نصير جيد لأغلب فناني الموسيقى المشهورينِ وهو عاشَ هذه الموسيقى حتى
إكتشفَ موهبةَ maii. أمّها كَانتْ a معلّم وفي نفس الوقت كَانتْ a نصير
موسيقى جيدِ جداً. أختها الكُبرَى كَانتْ نفس بطريقةٍ ما، حتى يُستَعملُ
للغِنَاء في المدرسةِ وهي كَانتْ a مغني جيد أيضاً. أخّها الأكبر كَانَ
نصيرَ الموسيقى المختلفِ الوحيدِ في العائلةِ بينما هو كَانَ a نصير إلى
الموسيقى الغربيةِ تَرْبطُ أيضاً هو كَانَ a صوتي في a فرقة صغيرة في Tanta
لكن هذه المُنتَهيةِ بهذه السرعة. |
